Prepare the Crispy Fries
1. Wash your potatoes and cut them into even fries, about 1/4 inch thick, to ensure uniform cooking. Soak them in cold water for at least 15 minutes to remove excess starch.
2. Heat your vegetable oil to 325°F in a deep skillet or fryer, preparing for the first fry.
3. Pat the potatoes dry and carefully add them to the hot oil in batches, cooking for 5-7 minutes until they're pale golden and tender inside but not yet crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
4. Increase the oil temperature to 375°F and fry the potatoes again for 2-3 minutes until they're golden, crispy, and irresistible. Season immediately with a pinch of salt.
Season and Cook the Beef
1. In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and onion powder, stirring well to distribute evenly.
2. Pat the steak strips dry with paper towels, then generously coat them with the spice mixture, ensuring every piece is well seasoned.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned beef strips in a single layer, cooking for 3-4 minutes per side until they achieve a golden crust and reach your desired doneness.
4. In the same skillet, add the sliced peppers and onion, stirring occasionally for 5-6 minutes until they're tender with a slight char.
Assembly
1. If using lettuce, line your bowl or plate with fresh lettuce leaves to create a crisp, fresh base.
2. Arrange your golden, crispy fries in a generous pile at the bottom of the bowl.
3. Place the seared steak strips and cooked peppers and onions on top of and around the fries.
4. Add cucumber slices, halved cherry tomatoes, and sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for color and freshness.
